I have been working in some form of web development since 1995, when I published my college work at UCSC. Since then, I've worked in sysops, in large corporate intranets (Sun Microsystems), an Internet service provider building servers, and dozens of sites for small businesses and organizations. I derive great pleasure from solving complex problems, learning new technology, and making things go, especially in the creation of new work and communication of new and compelling messages.
I also manage EarthLab33, which is based in the Earthship I inhabit with my partner, Nadine, in Northern New Mexico. It's a building that produces more energy than it consumes and is totally off-grid. The Lab is ever-evolving and working in conjunction with several others around the globe to research how autonomous buildings can help to remediate the climate crisis.
InfoArc allocates a large part of our efforts to building and maintaining practical usage of solar energy and sustainability in the office, as well as helping clients who are interested in or using sustainability models in their homes and workplaces.
I enjoy designing and constructing unusual musical instruments, downhill skiing, yoga, and producing artistic dance works.
