Project Overview

MovementLab's site is a rebuild for dance, yoga and wellness teacher, Nadine Lollino. I upgraded her site to Astro and added recurring billing for students to incorporate a subcription-based online yoga studio at the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns in 2020, enabling her to continue teaching her students nationwide and internationally. Since that time the site was transitioned to video library of all the classes she recorded, which are also offered on a subscription basis. The site also showcases Nadine’s therapeutic massage work, as well as her dance classes and performance works.

Design Philosophy

The key features of the design were to coalesce the work of the MovementLab entity, Nadine’s aesthetic sensibilities, and the attention she gives to her students and clients. The yoga library required keyword and tag searches, and the ability to update the library without have to log into the site, but merely pushing new classes to the library from a spreadsheet application. This made the work of keeping the site current very easy. Students can also track their progress and favorite classes they like and want to come back to.
